Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ParentPlan (the “Service”), provided by the operator of ParentPlan (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ParentPlan helps a household organise who collects children from school and related reminders. It is an organisational aid only; you remain responsible for making sure a child is actually collected.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your PIN or credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for everyone you invite into your household. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
3. Plans, fees and billing
The Service is offered under both free and paid plans. We may offer paid subscriptions and optional paid features (for example additional household members, higher photo-reading allowances, or enhanced reminders). By choosing a paid plan you authorise us, via our payment processor, to charge the applicable fees:
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period and, except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.
- We may change plans, features and prices. For paid plans we will give reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) before a price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.
- Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Payments are handled by a third-party processor; we do not store full card details.
4. Fair use and limits
Some features rely on paid third-party services (including AI reading of rota photos). To keep the Service sustainable we may set reasonable usage limits — such as the number of photo reads per period, the number of household members, or reminder volume — and may rate-limit, queue or suspend activity that is excessive, automated or abusive.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the information you add (names, shifts, notes and rota photos). You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service. Rota photos are read and then discarded — we do not retain the image after extracting the shift details. Do not upload content you are not entitled to share.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, access it unlawfully, or use it to store or share unlawful content.
7. Availability and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders or photo readings will always be accurate or delivered. Always confirm pickup arrangements independently.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any failure to collect a child, missed reminder, or misread rota. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
